Race Info
The Sparta Half Marathon is an annual race in Sparta, Wisconsin, run as an out-and-back combining the flat, gravel Sparta-Elroy State Trail with rolling paved country roads outside town. The race starts and finishes at the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce building and also offers 10K and 5K distances. Despite a 2026 relaunch on a new website and registration platform, course records referencing 2023 confirm this is an established annual event rather than a new one.
