Race Info
The Snow Joke Half Marathon runs each February in Seeley Lake, Montana, in the Seeley-Swan valley about 40 miles northeast of Missoula. Organized by Run Wild Missoula, the race starts and finishes at Seeley Lake Elementary School and follows roads around the lake, including a highway stretch that must be cleared by early afternoon. USATF recognizes it as the Montana Half Marathon Championship. First held in 1980, it has run every year since, switching to a virtual format in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
