Starting at 68°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Temperatures rising to 81°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (91%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The Racefaster Half Marathon is held each September in Paramus, New Jersey, starting and finishing at the Garden State Plaza mall. The course leaves the plaza onto the traffic-free Saddle River Parkway Trails, runs north through Saddle River County Park to a turnaround near the Glen Rock Duck Pond, and returns along the opposite riverbank. It is organized by Racefaster, a Bergen County youth-running and coaching company.
