The Phoenix Wicked 5K covers 3.1 miles on the paved New River Trail System in Peoria, starting and finishing at Rio Vista Park. It is a flat series of short out-and-back legs on asphalt and concrete, so there is no need to shuttle back to the car. The 5K runs on the Sunday morning of race weekend, on a trail that stays open to other users.
