About the New Forest Half Marathon
The half marathon starts and finishes at the showground in Brockenhurst and runs on a mix of compact gravel forest tracks and open tarmac roads through New Forest National Park. The route crosses forest enclosures and open heathland and includes Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, lined with Coastal Redwood and Giant Sequoia trees. Free-roaming New Forest ponies and deer are a regular sight. The course is flat and fast, with only gentle undulations through the forest sections.
