The Brighton Marathon starts at Preston Park and wraps up on Madeira Drive near the iconic Brighton Pier. As runners make their way through the course, they hit key spots like central Brighton, Rottingdean, and Hove, all while dealing with an elevation gain of 477 feet. This race, which is the UK's third-largest marathon, treats runners to scenic views of the Sussex coastline and historic urban landscapes, all on asphalt roads. The inaugural Brighton Marathon was set up by former international athlete Tim Hutchings and local athlete Tom Naylor.
