The Moosehead Marathon is a road race in Greenville, Maine, on the shores of Moosehead Lake, offering marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances on a hilly loop course through town. Runners complete one 13.1-mile loop for the half or two loops for the full marathon, starting and finishing near Greenville Consolidated Schools. The race launched in 2025 to bring visitors and economic activity to Greenville during its traditionally slow spring season. Starting with 2027, the race moves from its original late-April date to mid-June and switches to staggered per-distance start times.
