Race Info
The Moonlight Beach Half Marathon starts and finishes at the Moonlight State Beach parking lot in Encinitas, California, with the half marathon field starting at 7:30 a.m. and 10K and 6K runners following at 8:00 a.m. The out-and-back course runs south along the Pacific coast toward South Cardiff State Beach before returning to Moonlight Beach on a flat route. Excelarace launched the race in March 2022 as a St. Patrick's Day weekend event, and it has run every March since, with proceeds benefiting VANC, a veteran-support nonprofit.
