Montana Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, moderate wind, rain likely
Mild 52°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 60°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 16mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (92%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The Montana Marathon half marathon is a point-to-point race that starts on Shorey Road outside Billings and finishes at Pioneer Park in downtown Billings. It shares the finish with the full marathon and follows the same gradual descent from the plains toward the Yellowstone River valley. The race is run on the Sunday of race weekend, and runners are bused to the start from the Senior High School parking lot.
