McKirdy Micro Marathon: Breaking 3
Race Day Weather
Cold start — layer up
Runners will start in chilly 36°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 46°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
It’s estimated that less than 4% of marathoners who’ve ever run the daunting distance have broken 3 hours. We aim to bring that percentage just a bit higher. We invite you to join us and become one of those rare athletes!
Options are limited and proper support to run as fast as you are capable of is lacking in the vast majority of events around the country. Our event is the ONLY RACE in the country with a total “in-race” support concept in mind for all participating athletes! This will be a first time experience for MANY who participate but race directors James McKirdy, Sammy McClintock, and Heather McKirdy will walk you through every detail to ensure you have every opportunity to break 3.
Come race day, you’ll be ready!
