Race Day Weather
Warm start, warming through the race, moderate wind, rain likely, high humidity
Starting at 69°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Temperatures rising to 81°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 14 mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (82%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.
You will be running through this extraordinary rural community on back and dirt roads, with breathtaking views of the Green Mountains, challenging rollin farmlands with tough climbs and descents, quaint villages, historic barns, covered bridges and fields of our famous Vermont cows! Source
