The Lost Dutchman 10K starts and finishes at Prospector Park in Apache Junction, Arizona, retracing the final 3.1 miles of the marathon course as a paved out-and-back with graded dirt shoulders available. The route has a slight incline heading out and a matching decline back to the finish, with aid stations every mile. The race carries no official time cutoff and the field is capped at 800 runners.
