Little Apple Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, big temp swing, strong wind
Mild 56°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temps will climb significantly to 97°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Strong 25mph gusts could slow exposed stretches — tuck behind other runners when you can.

Race Info
The Little Apple Half Marathon covers two clockwise loops of the 6.55-mile course in Tuttle Creek State Park outside Manhattan, Kansas. Each loop gains only about 100 feet, and about a mile of it follows Dyer Road with one side closed to traffic. Roughly a mile and a half runs on the Western Heritage Trail, a paved path about four feet wide where passing is tight in the early miles. The start and finish sit side by side near the beach area on the west end of the park, and the course is USATF-certified.
