Juneau Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, warming through the race, moderate wind
Mild 54°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 66°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 14 mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Moderate humidity at 78% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.
Juneau Marathon and Half-Marathon are conducted on rolling, USATF-certified courses on Douglas and North Douglas Highways on Douglas Island (across Gastineau Channel from Juneau, Alaska). The marathon course features scenic water views and a stunning vista of Mendenhall Glacier. Not too many other races in the USA can lay claim to that aspect! Come to Juneau, America's Most Beautiful Capital City, and run our event! Source
