Hartford Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, big temp swing
A cool 46°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temps will climb significantly to 62°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 72% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Hartford Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles on the Saturday of race weekend, starting on Capitol Avenue in front of the Connecticut State Capitol. It shares the marathon's first 8.4 miles, passing the Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe houses before heading into West Hartford and through Elizabeth Park, home of the country's first public rose garden. The route then returns toward downtown, runs the paved trails of Riverside Park along the Connecticut River, and passes the Wadsworth Atheneum. It finishes in Bushnell Park under the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch on a USATF-certified course.
