Runners will start in chilly 37°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 50°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Race Info
The Gobbler Grind Half Marathon starts and finishes at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, Kansas, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. After a street loop near Founders Park, runners join the Indian Creek Trail heading west, turn around just west of Pflumm Road and return to finish on the streets of Corporate Woods. The course is USATF-certified, mostly on paved trail, and counts for Kansas in the 50 States Half Marathon Club.
