Race Info
The Daufuskie Island Half Marathon covers 13.1 USATF-certified miles on the Saturday of race weekend, starting and finishing at Haig Point on the island's north end. The course follows island roads past the Haig Point Lighthouse, Freeport, Tabby Circle and the Atlantic shoreline. About 90 percent is paved road and the rest is flat, hard-packed dirt or crushed oyster shell, with few vehicles on the island. Runners reach the island by ferry, so there is no road access to the start.
