Curacao Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Hot start, moderate wind, chance of rain, high humidity
A warm 80°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Moderate winds around 16mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. There's a chance of rain, so have a backup gear plan ready. High humidity (82%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The Half Marathon covers 21.1 kilometers along the Curacao waterfront in Willemstad and is one lap of the course the marathon runs twice. The route crosses the Queen Emma pontoon bridge, known locally as the swinging old lady, and climbs over the Juliana Bridge, one of the highest bridges in the Caribbean at about 185 feet above sea level. It is run on Sunday morning of race weekend, in the dark and cool of the early hours before the tropical sun gets up.
