The Christmas in July 5K is an out-and-back run on the paved multi-use trail through Ned Brown Forest Preserve, known locally as Busse Woods, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. It shares the trail system with the half marathon and has a fair amount of shade along the way. It is held on the Saturday morning of race weekend.
