The Christmas in July Half Marathon (Chicago area) starts and finishes at the Busse Lake Boating Center in Ned Brown Forest Preserve, known locally as Busse Woods, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The course runs on paved multi-use trails through the forest preserve. A companion 5K starts one hour after the half marathon on the same morning.
