Bemidji Blue Ox Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 45°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 56°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Bemidji Blue Ox Half Marathon is a point-to-point course on paved trails and roads that finishes where the marathon does, at the Sanford Center. Runners ride buses to the start on the Paul Bunyan Trail, a little over three miles north of town, and run north along the east side of Lake Bemidji before turning west through Lake Bemidji State Park. The route continues through Diamond Point Park, along the shoreline past Bemidji State University and the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, and around the south end of the lake. It is run on the Saturday of race weekend.
