Alien Dash 10K: The Deep Dish Dash
Race Day Weather
Warm start, warming through the race
A warm 71°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Temperatures rising to 86°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 67% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The 10K runs two laps of the same flat beach path used for the 5K, starting and finishing at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Long Beach. The out-and-back loop turns at a marked flag near the 1.55-mile point and returns along the shoreline. The paved path stays level the whole way, so the distance suits runners chasing a quick time as well as walkers.
