Valentines Day Massacre Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential
A cool 41°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 50°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.
The Valentine's Heartbreaker Marathon & Relay is quite possibly the most fun you will ever have running a race. The coveted hoodie starts the excitement with the color and design revealed on packet pickup day! Seemingly the entire Triad (and beyond) running community gathers on race day to create a tailgating tent city over a huge swath of Country Park. Then the real fun begins. Runners take their laps while teammates, loved ones, and other teams cheer them on. There is eating, drinking, and a true fellowship of runners. The Heartbreaker is a fantastically insane day of running and celebration of our running community! Source
