Comfortable temps, big temp swing
Starting at 64°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Temps will climb significantly to 80°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 75% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Valentine Marathon starts and finishes at Bolo Beer Co. on East 1st Street in Valentine, Nebraska. Most of the course runs on the packed-earth Cowboy Trail, with paved stretches through town and a wood-decked bridge crossing. Race weekend also includes a 52K ultra, marathon relay, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 mile, with a six-hour marathon cutoff. For every mile completed, $1 goes to the Valentine Community Schools Foundation.
