Tunnel Light Half Marathon
Tunnel Light Half Marathon race day weather
Cool start — fast day potential, rain likely
A cool 42°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (99%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

About the Tunnel Light Half Marathon
The Tunnel Light Half Marathon is a point-to-point run that starts at Hyak Sno-Park near Snoqualmie Pass and passes through the Snoqualmie Tunnel, a dark stretch of more than two miles on the old railway bed. After the tunnel the course descends along the Palouse to Cascades Trail through evergreen forest, past the Humpback, Bandera and Rock Creek areas, to the finish at Garcia Trailhead. The surface is smooth packed gravel, and a headlamp is needed for the unlit tunnel. Runners walk about a mile down Forest Service Road 9020 after the finish to the shuttle buses back to Hyak.
