Mild 51°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 61°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 66% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Texas Marathon kicks off every New Year's Day, covering four loops on Kingwood's shaded concrete greenbelt trails. It starts and ends at St. Martha Catholic School, and you get to run by Kingwood Lake with only mild elevation changes, maxing out at 72 feet. It's a Boston qualifier, and after crossing the finish, runners get some quirky, oversized medals and enjoy a pizza picnic.
