Tartu City Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, warming through the race
Mild 50°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 64°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 79% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Tartu City Marathon (Tartu Linnamaraton) runs each October through Tartu, Estonia's second-largest city. The 42.2 km course is a single loop starting on Vabaduse puiestee and finishing at Raekoja plats (Town Hall Square), passing the Emajogi riverbank, Toomemagi hill, the old town, and the Karlova and Supilinn districts. The marathon distance was first run in 2012, reviving a Tartu autumn street-running tradition that began with the 1983 Tartu City Run. The weekend also includes half marathon and 10 km races and a Friday-night 4 km run through the old town.
