Super Hyak Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 47°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 60°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 72% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Super Hyak Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles on the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail, a hard-packed gravel rail-trail over Snoqualmie Pass in Washington's Cascade Mountains. The point-to-point course starts at the Hyak Trailhead and enters the unlit 2.4-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel within the first half mile. It then descends west on the old railroad grade to a finish near the Iron Horse Alt Access Trailhead outside North Bend. The course is USATF-certified and advertised as a Boston qualifier.
