The Stennis Space Center Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles on the paved roads of the NASA rocket-engine test site in Hancock County, Mississippi. Runners start near the Cypress House, go out to the first turnaround on the same road the marathon uses, then return to finish at the start area. The course is flat and wooded, with wildlife sightings common, and it is held on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
