Race Info
The Sehgahunda Trail Marathon runs through Letchworth State Park near Hunt, New York, starting at the Mount Morris Dam Visitor Center and finishing at the Parade Grounds in Portageville. The course covers 26.3 miles, most of it unpaved trail, following routes historically used by the Seneca people along the Genesee River gorge, sometimes called the Grand Canyon of the East. Runners cross more than 100 gullies of rock, root and leaf-covered singletrack before a 4:00 PM course cutoff. The race has run since 2010 and shares its weekend with a marathon relay and the Vale of Three Falls 5K, 10K and 15K the next day.
