Race Info
The Schaumburg Turkey Trot Half Marathon and 5K starts and finishes at Busse Woods, the Ned Brown Forest Preserve, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Despite the name, the race is not held in Schaumburg; the start line sits near Groves 28 through 30 on the preserve's north side. All Community Events has run the race since at least 2013, and it takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving rather than on the holiday itself. The paved course loops past the Busse Woods boat launch and dam, and every finisher gets a medal and a donut at the line.
