Runners will face a temperature increase from 51°F at the start to 68°F by the finish, with average humidity at 40% and a dew point of 36°F. Wind will be a gentle breeze from the SW at 8 mph, with gusts up to 28 mph. This is an ideal day for a fast race, but runners should remain mindful of the warming trend and adjust their pacing accordingly.

The San Diego Holiday Half Marathon is a fast 13.1 mile course that starts on Penasquitos Drive and Carmel Mountain Road, then travels SW along Carmel Mountain Rd (your only ‘real’ hill at mile 1.5), along the 56 bike path and finishes at the beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach. The race includes a 711-foot net elevation drop along the “rolling” downhill bike path, which also makes it a personal best candidate.
