Race Info
The Samarkand Half Marathon is one lap of the marathon loop, starting and finishing on Registan Street beside Registan Square in the historic centre. The route heads toward the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, then follows a long straight road out to the Silk Road Samarkand complex before turning back to Registan. It is run on city asphalt and measured to World Athletics and AIMS standards, with the start and finish at the same elevation, on the Sunday of race weekend.
