The Prairie Fire Half Marathon starts and finishes at Equity Bank Park in downtown Wichita. The course runs east along Douglas Avenue past Towne East Mall and returns the same way, passing through the neighborhoods around the Pershing and Dellrose roundabout. It is a flat, USATF-certified course with only about 30 meters between its lowest and highest points.
