Northern Trails Trail Race 10 Miler
Race Day Weather
Warm start, moderate wind, high humidity
Starting at 67°F, heat will be a factor from the gun — go out conservative and stay on top of hydration. Temperatures rising to 76°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 15mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. High humidity (81%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The 10 Miler is the middle distance of the Northern Trails Trail Race, run on the Saturday of race weekend in early spring. It starts at Northern Guilford High School in Greensboro and follows the watershed trails near Lake Brandt and Lake Townsend, mostly out and back on one of the city's most scenic trails. It is a shorter version of the 17 mile course and a common step up for runners moving to longer trail distances.
