Race Info
The New South Trail Marathon, part of the Whitewater Race Series, is one of the few trail marathons in North Carolina, starting and finishing at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. Runners tackle technical single-track trails and rolling terrain with about 1,500 feet of elevation change per loop. Goat Hill offers a challenging steep ascent followed by a flowing descent, making it a memorable part of the course.
