Marathon Duchesnay-Quebec Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cold start — layer up
Runners will start in chilly 40°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 48°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 71% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Marathon Duchesnay-Quebec Half Marathon covers 21.1 kilometers point-to-point, starting at the Station Touristique Duchesnay in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier and finishing at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier, about 30 kilometers northwest of downtown Quebec City. It follows the same route as the full marathon along the Veloroute Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf multi-use trail beside the Riviere Jacques-Cartier, running mostly on packed crushed stone with a shorter paved section. The course is flat and certified by World Athletics. Because the start and finish are roughly 12 kilometers apart, runners reach the start by organizer shuttle rather than driving there directly.
