The Gum Tree 10K in Tupelo, Mississippi is a fast, flat, USATF-certified course (MS12001MS) that Runner's World has ranked among the top 75 races in the country. Organized by the Tupelo Running Club, it began in 1976 and marked its 50th running in May 2026. The race sets a 2.5-hour time limit for a 24-minute-per-mile pace and is walker-friendly, with course support from the City of Tupelo and Joyner neighborhood residents. A companion Strut Your Mutt fun run for leashed dogs and a self-propelled wheelchair division run alongside the 10K each year.
