Great Scottish Run 10K
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, moderate wind, chance of rain
A cool 50°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Moderate winds around 13mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. There's a chance of rain, so have a backup gear plan ready. High humidity (86%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

Race Info
The Great Scottish Run 10K starts on St Vincent Street in the centre of Glasgow and finishes on Glasgow Green. The route stays in the city and leaves out the park loop the half marathon runs, taking in four bridges and a long riverside stretch before the finish through the McLennan Arch. There is a short climb in the first kilometre and a descent to about 3K, and the last 7K is largely flat, all on tarmac, which makes it a fast course for a personal best.
