Great Allegheny Ohiopyle Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, warming through the race, chance of rain
Mild 52°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 66°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. There's a chance of rain, so have a backup gear plan ready. Moderate humidity at 67% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Half Marathon starts and finishes at Sheridan Street in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, and heads north on the Great Allegheny Passage rail trail. Runners go out 6.55 miles along the Youghiogheny River corridor, turn around and return to the same finish line. The whole course is hard-packed crushed limestone trail, so regular road racing shoes work. It runs on the Saturday of race weekend and starts with the marathon.
