Grand Ridge 50K
Grand Ridge 50K race day weather
Cool start — fast day potential, warming through the race
A cool 48°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 63°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. High humidity (81%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.

About the Grand Ridge 50K
The Grand Ridge 50K covers two laps of the half marathon loop and then one lap of the 5 mile loop, starting and finishing at the Issaquah-Preston Trail High Point Way Trailhead in Grand Ridge Park. Rocky, technical switchbacks lead up to the ridge, where the route detours onto the Flowing Fir Trail before an out-and-back to the Duthie Hill aid station. It is the longest distance on the Saturday of race weekend and runs through Cascade foothill forest of ferns and moss-covered trees.
