Race Info
The Gent Marathon runs each spring through the historic center of Ghent, Belgium, finishing inside the Topsporthal at Sport Vlaanderen Gent. The 2026 marathon field reached a record 5,650 finishers within an overall field of more than 18,000 runners across the marathon and half marathon. The course is remeasured to World Athletics certification standards with each new route, and results qualify for the Boston Marathon. The 2027 edition marks the race's tenth anniversary, with a new course still being finalized alongside the City of Ghent.
