Race Info
The Free State Trail Run's 40-mile race is six laps of the 6.75-mile loop at the Delaware Trailhead of the Perry Lake mountain bike trails near Meriden and Ozawkie, Kansas. It is the longest distance of the weekend and runs entirely on rocky, technical singletrack through hardwood forest, with about 750 feet of climbing and descent per lap. The looped layout brings runners back to the start and finish area every 6.75 miles, and the later laps run into the evening.
