Race Info
End of the Road Half Marathon is an out-and-back race on the closed section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Breezewood, Pennsylvania, bypassed by the highway in 1968. It starts at the former Cove Valley Travel Plaza and runs through the Sidling Hill and Ray's Hill tunnels, about five miles of the course underground, before returning the same way. The tunnels are unlit, so runners must carry a headlamp or flashlight. The half marathon runs on both a Saturday and a Sunday in late October, with a One Tunnel 4 Miler on Sunday.
