Cross Timbers Trail Run 50K
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, moderate wind, rain likely
A cool 50°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 58°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate winds around 16mph may affect pacing on open sections of the course. Rain is likely — waterproof your phone and bib, and consider a disposable poncho for the corral. High humidity (84%) will make it harder to cool down through sweat — increase fluid intake accordingly.
