The heat did not stop runners and spectators from heading out to the Cowtown marathon in Fort Worth this weekend.
"Participant safety is our first priority," said Heidi Swartz, Cowtown executive director.
The Cowtown Marathon is always a hot item on Fort Worth’s events calendar. And this year the event is hot enough to warrant a heat advisory.
Temperatures are expected to hit the 60s in the early morning when the race begins and then rise to the 80s by mid-afternoon.
