The Cologne Marathon (Kolnmarathon) starts at Ottoplatz in Deutz and finishes near Cologne Cathedral on Komodienstrasse. The flat course crosses the Rhine via the Deutz Bridge and passes through Rodenkirchen, Lindenthal, Ehrenfeld, and Nippes, with runners passing Rudolfplatz three times. The marathon has 11 aid stations; the half marathon, run concurrently over 21 km, has 6.
