The Clarence DeMar Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles from the Surry Mountain Lake recreation area in Surry to Keene State College. The route follows Route 12A and East Surry Road past Bretwood Golf Course, then runs into Keene along Court Street and Maple Avenue. Runners pass through Wheelock Park and along the bike path, then climb through Greenlawn and Woodland cemeteries before the last miles on Marlboro and Main Streets. The finish is on Appian Way, a pedestrian way at the college, where Clarence DeMar once coached.
