The Cascade Express Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles point to point on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, a former rail corridor from the Hyak Trailhead near Snoqualmie Pass toward North Bend, Washington. About a half mile in, the route enters the unlit 2.4-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel, then descends west on the old railroad grade to a finish near the Iron Horse Alt Access Trailhead. The course has a net downhill profile and is USATF-certified.
