Battleship Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Mild temps, variable winds ahead
Runners will face temperatures starting at 60°F and rising to 63°F, with average humidity at 75%. A headwind in Mile 1 will challenge runners, while a tailwind from Miles 5 and 10 will offer relief. With gusts up to 26 mph, pacing adjustments may be necessary, especially during the exposed stretches. Hydration should be prioritized given the humidity, and light rain may occur, so gear might need to be adjusted.

Race Info
The Battleship Half Marathon starts and finishes at Water Street Park in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, with the course looping past the USS North Carolina memorial around miles two and three. Runners cross the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge and the Isabel Holmes Bridge, pass through Greenfield Park, and finish on the Riverwalk. First run in 1998, it is one of the oldest half marathons in the South and usually falls on Veterans Day weekend. The race includes wheelchair, guided visually-impaired, and duo-team divisions, and part of each entry fee helps maintain the battleship's memorial walkway.
